Speedcast Awarded Significant Contract to Implement VSAT Services at Multiple Locations Throughout Africa

ASX:SDA), a leading global satellite communications and network service provider, today announced that it has been awarded a service agreement to provide managed VSAT services at 8 operation locations in Africa by a leading global energy service company ("the Customer"). The award was the result of an intense competitive process. Under the service agreement, SpeedCast will provide fully managed VSAT network services with a combination of two different VSAT technologies in order to cater for different needs. SpeedCast' service will be used as the primary or back-up solution connecting different office locations.

With the TDMA network solution, the Customer is able to seamlessly allocate bandwidth to specific locations based on QoS requirements in the event of a fiber cut or operation impacting event.
