Australian Power and Gas Company Limited (ASX:APK) Claims First Place On BRW Fast 100 List

Sydney, April 29, 2010 AEST (ABN Newswire) - Fast growing energy retailer Australian Power & Gas (ASX:APK) has today been ranked number one on BRW's annual Fast Starters 100 list, after producing a revenue of A$72.7M in the list's qualification period through the financial year 2008-09. Companies must have started trading after June 30, 2005 and have at least 2 years of revenue to qualify.

"We continue to deliver on our targets and forecasts, and remain on track to grow our core Victorian business. We now have more than 130,000 customer accounts, and we are actively reviewing the opportunities to expand the customer base into both QLD and NSW," said Mr Myatt.

Mr Myatt said the company is now focused on this next stage of development, expanding its presence in the Queensland and NSW markets in 2010. This growth strategy will require a re-forecast of anticipated results in due course, he said.
