World Business Leaders Meet in Atlanta To Decide The Future of Social Media Marketing

Atlanta, July 21, 2011 AEST (ABN Newswire) - World business leaders have confirmed they are to meet in Atlanta to decide the future of social media marketing.

Representatives at the iStrategy Conference at the Americasmart Convention Centre on 13-14 September will include top executives from Facebook, Microsoft (googlechartNASDAQ:MSFT), AOL (googlechartNYSE:AOL), Bloomberg, Sprint and Interbrand.

Speaking after last year's conference Katrina Klier, Microsoft's Senior Director for Digital Engagement, indicated how important the event has become in the business calendar.

She said: "It's a good mix of attendees from the agency, business and publishing sides. The topics are relevant to what we all need to do today."

Jason Aplin of W3 EDGE said: "The amount of intellect and capacity of the people who are all learning and sharing together, is very good."

Keynote speakers at this year's conference include PepsiCo's (googlechartNYSE:PEP) crowdsourcing visionary Shiv Singh who steered the hugely successful 'Crash the Super Bowl' campaign. As the man who delivered the best Superbowl ad of 2011, his views on real-time marketing are sought by marketing professionals across the world and his appearance is hugely anticipated.

Facebook's Head of Measurement Daniel Slotwiner, who shapes one of the most lucrative digital markets on the planet, will be sharing insights which have maintained the network's dominant position.

Craig Newmark, who created Craigslist in 1995, will be addressing attendees on the importance of creating, maintaining and managing consumer trust.

In one of many discussions taking place over the two days Jeff Mancini, of the world's leading brand consultancy Interbrand, will moderate a high-level panel talk with representatives from AOL, MTV and Four Seasons hotels.

In another, Citi's (googlechartNYSE:C) Director of Social Media Lori Feldman will join Heidi Youngkinm of Johnson and Johnson (googlechartNYSE:JNJ) and Joyce Sullivan of the Financial Women's Association to discuss how social media policy works within highly regulated industries.

In addition to the keynotes and panelists, the iStrategy Atlanta agenda features split screen interactive workshop sessions with top companies such as Sears (googlechartNASDAQ:SHLD), Mashable and PointRoll regarding topics such as brand engagement, web analytics, video and social media, traffic building, email marketing in social media, mobile marketing, social media B2B marketing and more.

There are still tickets available for the iStrategy Conference. Full ticket price is $1,495 but there is an early bird discount of 30 percent if places are booked before August 5. To view the complete schedule and book a place, visit: http://www.istrategyconference.com/events/atlanta/
