Moscow Laboratory Group Gemotest Expands Cooperation With iSOFT Group Limited (ASX:ISF)

Sydney, July 7, 2010 AEST (ABN Newswire) - iSOFT Group Limited (googlechartASX:ISF) today announces the Gemotest group, one of the five biggest providers of laboratory diagnostic services in Moscow, expands its central laboratory network by integrating the iSOFT Laboratory Module for microbiology. After the successful implementation of the iSOFT laboratory information system in 2008 the diagnostics provider now wants to further expand its service profile in order to continue the set growth strategy in the future. The further development of the cooperation enables iSOFT to step forward into the Russian healthcare market and successfully widen its footprint in Eastern Europe.

Within this new project Gemotest will install the new iSOFT Laboratory microbiology module in the overarching network in its central laboratory in Moscow. In combination with the existing iSOFT Laboratory components the results of microbiological analysis will be integrated reliably into the workflow. This enables Gemotest to extend its services for special laboratory diagnostic examinations. Moreover, the high flexibility and scalability of the entire laboratory system allows for the implementation of additional 10 analytical devices into the IT environment of the laboratory group as well as the smooth set up of further working stations.

By this diversification Gemotest intends to increase its competitive position and win further market shares in the field of special laboratory diagnostic examinations. This aspect is an essential building block for the growth plans of the Russian diagnostics service provider.

"With Gemotest we found a partner in the Russian market, who already successfully implements modern IT systems for the management of workflow processes," said Peter Herrmann, Managing Director, iSOFT Health. "The Russian healthcare market with a total volume of approximately two billion U.S. Dollars and constant growth rates in the last few years is a key market for iSOFT. That's why it is particularly important to have strong regional partners and reference sites, who can serve as "Proof of Concept" for further potential customers."

The order allows Gemotest the implementation of a comprehensive laboratory infrastructure, which provides the necessary scalability to integrate additional devices and locations into the existing IT environment. To take advantage of this flexibility and scalability, Gemotest invested a total of approximately 100.000 Euros in the expansion of the laboratory IT system as well as for support and system maintenance over 60 months.

The company, which for years pursued clear growth strategy, plans in the next years to establish other laboratory facilities in Russia and is one of the fastest-growing laboratory service providers in the country.
