Perth, Dec 9, 2008 AEST (ABN Newswire) - Conquest Mining Limited (ASX:CQT)(PINK:CQMLF) is pleased to announce that recent resource infill drilling at the Silver Hill Deposit has intersected significant mineralisation confirming previous holes in high grade areas.
Highlights:
- Diamond drill hole HC08RCD453, located on the west side of the Silver Hill deposit, intersected 43m at 540 g/t silver, including 5m at 3,324 g/t silver.
- Diamond drill hole HC08RCD484 intersected 19m @ 25.4 g/t gold on V2 Hill. Similar intersections included 27m at 4.62 g/t gold.
- Gold Fields is continuing its exploration programs with two drill rigs testing priority mineralised prospects.
Drilling
Drilling on the west side of Area 39 silver zone on 25 metre spaced infill lines has resulted in a number of high grade intersections, the most recent of which is 43 metres at 540g/t silver from 132 metres depth in hole 453. A number of broad widths of moderate grade were also intersected, and include 24 metres at 90 g/t silver.
Five holes located on the centre of the V2 Hill bonanza gold zone intersected high grade gold. The best of these were holes HC08RCD484 and HC08RCD485. Other significant intersections included 6 metres at 12.5 g/t and 8 metres at 5.69 g/t gold.

Metallurgical Testwork
Bacterial leach testwork is in progress on flotation concentrate using 2 metre columns, and results from this testwork are expected in first quarter of 2009.
Work Programmes
The company has completed drilling for the calendar year to date, and is now focused on progressing development studies.
Goldfields are continuing their exploration effort with 2 drill rigs and 8 men on site including soil sampling crews, geophysics crews, and 5 geologists.
