Steve Semmelmayer to Lead One of the Largest Direct Dental Manufacturers Worldwide

Semmelmayer. Following an exhaustive search, Discus Dental has executed an employment agreement to bring Semmelmayer on board, effective immediately. As a 29-year veteran of the dental industry, he has risen through the ranks of sales and marketing, product development and general management.
Semmelmayer began his career at Ormco, an Orthodontic Company based in Southern California, where he held numerous sales and marketing positions. In 1993, he became General Manager, and later President of Kerr Corporation. He led the organization during a period of significant growth, from $120 million to nearly $400 million in revenue. In 2005, Semmelmayer was promoted to President of the Professional Dental Group of Sybron Dental Specialties. Most recently he has served as the president, chairman and CEO of LED Medical Technologies, a Vancouver-based medical device company dedicated to the early detection of oral cancer.
