Vizrt Ltd. (OSL:VIZ) Bergen, Norway, September 15, 2008, Vizrt Ltd. (Frankfurt Prime Standard, Oslo Main List: VIZ) today announces that it has signed deals worth US$ 4.2 million in the days leading up and during the International Broadcasting Convention (IBC) 2008, a major international tradeshow.
One new customer from Pakistan signed up for broadcast graphics to be installed at his station immediately. The bulk of the order involves Multichannel and Trio. A similar deal has been concluded also in Pakistan with an existing customer, to be delivered over the next few months. Each deal is worth around US$ 700,000.
In a deal aimed at enhancing their sports coverage the Swedish media giant MTG group signed up for a Multichannel Platform. This first Vizrt-deal with MTG is worth approximately US$ 220,000.
Presidential election Four major US networks will cover the US presidential elections on November 4th using Vizrt software, which will include the following channels: CNN, CNN International, CNN Headline News, CNN Espanol, Fox News Channel, Fox Business Channel, ABC, CBS, Univision Network, as well as numerous local TV Stations around the United States. Most of these broadcasters will televise the all-important election returns utilizing VIZ Engines, Trio and Pilot. This year's election coverage will see extensive use of VIZRT's high definition graphics systems, as well as extended use of touch screen video walls. Most of the revenues for the presidential election will be realized in Q4.
East Europe RTR of Russia has just signed a deal for 11 regional stations currently operating throughout Russia. The total deal is worth around US$ 500,000 and is mostly for Trios. There are 89 channels operating under the same group.
Recent deals in Poland and Bulgaria are worth up to US$ 600,000. All of these deals are for broadcast graphics.
Video Hub Video Hub sales are picking up. So far we have sold 5 in Norway, 2 in South Africa, 1 in France, 1 in Germany, 2 in India, 1 in USA and 1 in Thailand. Some of these sales were done in previous quarters, but the majority represents recent sales.
Escenic resent sales Avusa, the largest media group in South Africa has placed an initial order of approximately US$ 400,000 in Escenic licenses and approximately US$ 100,000 in services. The project will start in October.
In the UK, Informa, a provider of specialist information and services including Lloyds List, placed an order for a little over US$ 100,000 for several of their medical journals.
