BLAIR NORTH GOLD:
During the Quarter, Northern Mining Limited (NMI) announced exciting gold assays from the recently completed reverse circulation (RC) drilling programme on E25/268 at Blair North, 30km southeast of Kalgoorlie, Western Australia. These results were further confirmed and upgraded by re-sampling and analysis by fire assay.
Re-sampling was carried out at 1.0 metre intervals on anomalous intersections with analysis by fire assay, using fusion of 40gm of material and analysis by ICP, undertaken by Kalgoorlie Assay Laboratory (Kalassay). Gold values were up to 15.25g/t in BNRC010 and up to 22.93g/t in BNRC017, as summarised in Table 1.

The 18-hole RC drilling programme was designed and carried out by Newexco Services Pty Ltd (Newexco) to detect significant gold and nickel mineralisation as a follow-up to RAB drilling intersections announced on 12th July 2007.
In addition, the samples from the nickel drilling programme were analysed for gold, using an aqua regia extraction on 40gm of material and analysis by ICP/MS, resulting in a further significant intersection in hole BNRC002 of 1 metre downhole* (from 132m to133m) @ 2.2g/t Au.
Follow-up drilling, which is due to commence in May, has been designed to test for extensions to these results with the objective of defining a significant zone of gold mineralisation.
Note * These are single hole intercepts into different mineralised occurrences and as such it is not possible to determine the orientation of the holes to the mineralisation. No meaningful, true width estimates of the mineralisation can therefore be made at this stage, as the attitude of the mineralised body is not known.
BLAIR NORTH NICKEL:
The Company reported encouraging nickel results from the same follow-up RC drilling programme at E25/268, Blair North. Nickel values intersected were up to 1.44% in BNRC 012, as summarised in Table 2.
This programme was also designed and carried out by Newexco, to detect sulphide nickel and laterite nickel.
Sampling was carried out as composites taken from a cyclone splitter on the drill rig. Where visible sulphides were observed, individual 1.0 metre samples were taken. Analysis was carried out at Kalassay using total (four-acid) extraction, prior to analysis by ICP/OES.
Downhole EM surveys will be carried out on selected drillholes when crews become available. The objective of these surveys will be to detect conductors related to massive nickel sulphides. Any anomalies arising from these surveys will be targeted by future drilling if warranted.

NORTHERN TERRITORY

A field trip visiting each of the Northern Territory tenements was undertaken during the Quarter by the Chief Executive Officer of NMI and a Consulting Geologist from CSA Australia Pty Ltd (CSA). Based on knowledge gained from the field trip, and a review of historical data, an exploration programme for the Northern Territory tenements is being generated by CSA.
The Milton Park project (Exploration Licence 24746) has an approximate area of 1,571 square kilometres and abuts immediately south of farm-in partner NuPower Resources Limited's (ASX:NUP) Yalyirimbi Exploration Licence 24548 and immediately east of Burt Plain Exploration Licence 24956. NUP has advised that it will carry out extensive follow-up airborne surveys in 2008 on the Milton Park Project, where there is excellent potential for the development of secondary uranium deposits. On the 9 October 2007, NUP announced that it had discovered palaeo-drainage systems within EL24548 through which uranium bearing ground waters have and continue, to flow, and palaeo-lakes that continue to receive ground water via the palaeo-channel systems. Results of these surveys will be reported as they become available.
POLAND
Szklary Nickel Project

The Szklary Ultramafic is situated close to existing infrastructure, being some 30 kilometres north east of the city of Klodzko and 4 kilometres from the town of Zabkowice Slaskie, in the Lower Silesia province in southwest Poland.
During the previous Quarter, NMI completed a preliminary diamond drilling programme aimed at confirming the historical nickel grades and to provide fresh sample for leaching testwork (for reported historical results at the Project, please refer NMI release to the ASX 30 March 2007).
On the 21 April 2008, NMI announced the results of the assays from the recent drilling programme. These results indicate that on a global basis the intercept widths and grades are broadly in line with those recorded in the historical database. A summary of the results from the latest drilling program is provided in Table 3.

POLAND
Szklary Nickel Project continued
CSA has been engaged to undertake a detailed review of the historical database, in conjunction with the latest drilling results, with a view to establishing a JORC compliant resource statement, or to advise the Board what additional work is required to be able to produce a JORC compliant resource statement, for the Szklary deposit. Preliminary metallurgical testwork is planned to commence following the review by CSA.
Radzimowice Gold Project:
Northern Mining Limited 80%
NMI announced in March 2008, that through its 80% subsidiary Gepco Geologia i Ochrona Środowiska sp. z o.o. (GEPCO), it was granted a 5 year concession for prospecting and exploring known gold, silver, arsenic and copper mineralization in the Radzimowice region, Poland. The total concession area covers 10.86 square kilometres and is situated in south-western Poland in the Kaczawa Mountains approximately 10 kilometres west of the town of Bolkow, near the town of Wojcieszow in Lower Silesia.
Planning has commenced for an initial drilling programme at the Radzimowice Gold Project. A series of mining plans dating back to the 1910's was sourced from historical workings. These plans are in the process of being digitised to generate a three dimensional model, to be used in the planning of future exploration programmes.
