Sydney, Dec 21, 2007 AEST (ABN Newswire) - IBA Health Group Limited (ASX: IBA) - Australia's largest listed specialist information technology company today announced the signing of two new agreements with a combined value of over $4 million with Otago District Health Board in New Zealand and JSY Systems, Brunei.

Otago District Health Board, a major tertiary centre in the South Island of New Zealand, will implement IBA's hospital information solution at the Dunedin and Wakari hospitals and rural health centres throughout Otago. The contract is for five years and is valued at over $3 million but worth potentially $7.5million, if Otago exercises all of its options.

Otago will implement IBA's i.Patient Manager solution (iPM) for inpatient, outpatient and community health with initial implementations at the Dunedin Hospital. i.PM will also be integrated with IBA's HealthViews clinical application, which provides the foundation for a shared electronic health record at the point-of-care. HealthViews will provide Dunedin and Wakari health professionals with secure access to their patient's health records across multiple care delivery settings 24 hours a day.

Brian Rousseau, Otago District Health Board's chief executive, said "The i.PM suite provides greater depth of integration so staff can move between applications smoothly while retaining the patient context plus treatment and status details. HealthViews is widely-used with most clinicians finding it indispensable. Together these applications are a vital ingredient for improving healthcare for Otago residents".

The second agreement, signed in Brunei is with JSY Systems. JSY Systems is a subsidiary of Jurusy Perunding, a leading Brunei company. JSY Systems will implement IBA's solution for their multi national client at the Panaga Health Centre located at Seria, Negara, Brunei Darussalam and clinics located in offshore platforms in the South China Seas. JSY Systems has signed a 3 year licence, implementation and support agreement valued at over $1.2 million. IBA will partner with JSY Systems who will provide project management, shared implementation services and ongoing support to the project.

The Panaga Health Centre Brunei will implement IBA's innovative suite of internet-enabled clinical and administrative applications delivering timely and accurate health information into the hands of over 100 clinicians located in on-shore clinics and specialist facilities based on offshore platforms.

The project will utilise expertise from IBA's regional deployment centre based in Kuala Lumpur - a MSC accredited technology centre. The core software solution will mirror similar implementations across Asia thus requiring minimal change and a lower cost of deployment for Panaga Health Centre.

The implementation will provide the consolidation of administrative and clinical data into a single repository for over 7,000 patients and their immediate families. This repository of information will form the basis of a patient's electronic health record. Clinicians will have seamless access to patient data whether they are located in land based facilities or on offshore platforms. The availability of patient records to clinicians based above the ocean waters of the South China Sea represents a first for IBA and probably the health industry.

Gary Cohen Executive Chairman and CEO of IBA Health said "these two wins further consolidates our strong position in the South East Asian region, providing our first installation in Brunei and a reference point for other business in Brunei and the region".
