Sydney, Dec 20, 2007 AEST (ABN Newswire) - IBA Health Group Limited (ASX: IBA) - Australia's largest listed specialist information technology company, today announced that it had been selected to provide a new ten-year managed service contract to host Oracle Financials and Procurement applications for a consortium of 56 NHS bodies in England valued at over $38.7 million (£16.45 million). In addition IBA today announced a four-year managed service contract worth $1.15 million (£497,000) to host its Integra financial applications for Medway NHS Trust in Kent, England. Both of the new contracts secure and extend the service offerings supplied under the current agreements, which have come to an end.
IBA's subsidiary IB Solutions has been selected by North East Patches Shared System Group (NEP), a consortium of National Health Service (NHS) trusts and Strategic Health Authorities mainly in the north of England. IB Solutions is providing a fully hosted managed service from its data centre at Prestwich in Manchester.
IB Solutions which is the existing supplier to NEP was selected via an open tender against a panel of international and local suppliers.

The contract with the Medway NHS Trust is for IB Solutions Integra suite of web-enabled financial applications provided as a fully hosted managed service from its data centre at Prestwich in Manchester. Medway is also taking the latest version of Integra, which includes a web-enabled front-end, business intelligence, and an enhanced reporting and enquiry engine. Also included is the purchase-to-pay eprocurement module to manage the purchasing cycle on-line and so reduce paperwork, data entry and errors, and delays.
Jeremy Moon, Medway NHS Trust's director of finance, said, "Enabling on-line transactions will improve workflows, cut administration, and increase the accuracy of financial management information. We anticipate significant increased efficiency and reductions in stationery, postage and fax usage."
