Adelaide, Sep 19, 2006 AEST (ABN Newswire) - High grades of iron ore of up to 61.8% iron have been announced by FerrAus Limited (ASX: FRS) from its latest resource definition drilling of the Company's Robertson Range project in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.

The Company said today the results indicated a significant increase in size and grade of the Robertson Range project compared to previous estimates.

They will now be included in the project's first Indicated and Measured JORC resource estimate due from independent consultancy, RSG Global in October.

The results are the last from the 3,500 metre Stage Two Reverse Circulation drilling program initiated to test extensions of the northern and southern zones of mineralisation at Robertson Range.

Some of the best results, primarily from the southern zone, include:
Hole Depth(m) Interval(m) Fe% P% SiO2% AL2O3% LOI%RRRC 142 20-32 12 59.3 0.07 3.9 3.1 7.5 38-60 22 59.8 0.11 3.8 2.6 7.8RRRC 143 42-76 34 61.8 0.10 3.6 2.2 5.4RRRC 145 26-28 4 57.5 0.12 5.2 4.0 7.0 46-80 34 60.2 0.17 3.2 2.3 8.2
"These are significant outcomes and we have now commenced a further approximately 2,000 metre RC program mainly to confirm the growing picture around the better holes," FerrAus Managing Director, Mr David Turvey, said today.

"However, we have sufficient data from the Stage Two program to expect an upgrade in resource classification, size and grade, within a matter of weeks," Mr Turvey said.

"Results from the smaller Stage 3 program, due for completion early in October, will be incorporated in the initial mine planning due to commence in the forthcoming December quarter."

Robertson Range has a near surface JORC-compliant Inferred Resource of 16.3 million tonnes grading 56.8% iron and is located within 50 kilometres of the Jimblebar iron ore rail spur and loading area.
