MIPIM Asia, the world's property market in Asia Pacific, will be held in the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from 27 to 29 September 2006. In addition to the exhibition area, MIPIM Asia is offering delegates a full programme of conferences. Pre-opening Keynote
On 26 September 2006 at 5 p.m., the pre-opening Keynote will set the tone, when Rod CORNISH, Head of Research at Macquarie Real Estate (Australia) gives his analysis of global investment drivers, based on the behaviour of the property markets in Asia Pacific. Future investors will be able to better evaluate the assets at work in this great real estate race.

This pre-opening session will start the cycle of cutting edge conferences built around the themes of Regions, Investment, and Sectors.

Regions
Regional keynotes will give overviews of China, Japan and India, focusing on the challenges and opportunities in these countries.

MIPIM Asia has invited Prof. FAN Gang, Director of the National Institute of Economic Research (NERI, China) to analyse the soaring growth in China and sketch a portrait of China tomorrow.

Dr. Yuichiro KAWAGUCHI, Professor - Graduate School of Finance, Accounting & Law, University of Waseda (Japan), will discuss the future of Japan as a leading destination for real estate investments.

Investment
Several sessions will be devoted to investments, a major topic of MIPIM Asia.

M. Chun-Ying LEUNG, Chairman North Asia of DTZ Debenham Tie Leung (Hong Kong SAR), will discuss the political and economic challenges raised by the flows of Foreign Direct Investments (FDI) into Asia Pacific, and will provide insights into maximising the resulting opportunities.

Sector analysis
A series of panels will discuss more sector-based topics. Builders, retailers and analysts will investigate the mushrooming of shopping centres in Asia Pacific, how they are managed, and how far they can grow.

In another session, retailers will be able to collect accurate data on retailing trends, sales/rental ratios, and customer traffic and retention, so as fine-tune their strategies in this highly active market.
