Sydney, July 31, 2006 AEST (ABN Newswire) - IBA Health Limited (ASX:IBA) Australia's largest ASX listed eHealth company announced today the Malaysian Government will award IBA, Multimedia Super Corridor (MSC) Malaysia Status. The prestigious certification recognises IBA Health's business achievement and investment in Malaysia and capability to develop and export health information technology in the Asian region.

The Multimedia Super Corridor (MSC) Malaysia is a Malaysian Government initiative for the global information and communication technology industry. The MSC Malaysia is an ICT hub, hosting multinational and local companies focused on research, development and deployment of multimedia and communication products and services.

This prestigious status recognises the position IBA will occupy in Malaysia and across the Asian region in developing and deploying Health Information Technology. This status provides significant business incentives to support IBA Health's investment in Malaysia including tax-free status for five years and eligibility for R&D grants. Following recent acquisition and R&D initiatives IBA Health is now the dominant provider of health information technology in Malaysia.

The Hon Rafidah Aziz, Malaysian Minister for International Trade and Investment, will present IBA Health's Chairman Gary Cohen with a certificate to confer Malaysian Multi Media Super Corridor Status (MSC) on IBA Health. The presentation coincides with the International Trade and Industry investment mission to Australia from July 30 to August 8.

CEO of IBA Health Steve Garrington said "Following recent acquisitions, contract wins and the recently announced joint venture with SPK Sdn Bhd, IBA Health is now the dominant provider of health information technology in Malaysia.

"Through the incentives provided by the Malaysian Government which includes world class infrastructure, a pro-business environment, taxation incentives and access to a high value low cost multi language talent pool, IBA will strengthen its position as a supplier of health information technology to the Malaysian market and across Asia."
