SMN To Build A New Head Office

SpareBank 1 SMN The Board of Directors of SpareBank 1 SMN has decided to build a new head office in Søndre gate, Trondheim. 480 staff can relocate to the new premises in autumn 2010.

The building, with overall floorage of about 20,000 m2, will have five storeys plus a basement. As well as housing the bank's offices, the building will feature shop premises in the ground floor along with office premises for lease. A forward-looking, flexible and environment-friendly building will make for robust operating-cost efficiency and substantial excess value.

Construction is due to start in December 2008 with completion scheduled for autumn 2010. In the meantime SpareBank 1 SMN's head office will temporarily relocate to Vestre Rosten south of Trondheim city centre.

SpareBank 1 SMN has accepted an offer from Teknobygg Entreprenør, which will be awarded totalentreprisen at 427 million. The building was designed and developed by the architectural firm Agraff.
