Sterling silver jewelry sales continued their strong performance during the recent Holiday Season, according to industry observers and early retail sales surveys. Retailers across the country reported to Jewelers Circular Keystone that "Sterling silver was the shining star of the Holiday Season in all types of pieces and increasingly higher price points."

Indochine Mining Limited (ASX:IDC) is pleased to announce the successful capital raising of $7 million via private placement of 64 million new IDC shares at $0.11 per share with existing institutional and sophisticated investors. The placement will be finalised and shares allotted on Tuesday, 22 January 2013. The funds will be used for activities in connection with the recent ongoing drilling of "bonanza" gold zones, resource extensional drilling and working capital.
Drilling has advanced in bonanza gold zones at Indochine Mining's (ASX:IDC) Mt Kare gold/silver project in PNG. Four drill holes have been completed with results expected from late January onwards. More gold assays from the 2012 drilling programme have been received. Best results are 10 metres (m) at 6.3 grams/tonne (g/t) gold, including 5m at 10 g/t gold.
