FORTIS (EBR:FORB) Fortis decided to align the publication dates of the special Board report for the Shareholders' Meeting of Fortis SA/NV and the trading update by publishing both documents on Friday 14 November. As a consequence it brings forward the publication of the Fortis'trading update which was previously announced for 19 November.
Kaupthing Bank (STO:KAUP) Kaupthing's Resolution Committee has in recent weeks worked on an agreement with the German government on paying deposits back to customers of Kaupthing EDGE in Germany, and it is hoped that payments can be made within the next few days or weeks. Representatives of Kaupthing's Resolution Committee will meet with representatives of the German Ministry of Finance and the German Financial Supervisory Authority regarding this matter next week.
KappAhl (STO:KAHL) KappAhl is expanding in all markets. On 13 November the fashion chain will open its 300th store. The new store is in Vasa, Finland. KappAhl is continuing to expand at a high rate, despite unease, mainly in the financial markets and over the economy. "We work from a long-term perspective and our development strategy remains firm. In the 2008/2009 financial year we will open another 30 stores. This will give us about a seven per cent sales increase," says Christian W. Jansson, CEO of KappAhl.
