Appointment of Non-Executive Director

ASX:MZI) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Ronnie Beevor as a Non-Executive Director. Mr Beevor is appointed as a nominee of 41% shareholder Resource Capital Fund VI L.P.
Mr Beevor's appointment further complements the MZI Board's strong mix of technical, operations, commercial, strategy and governance skills which place the Company in a strong position to deliver on its strategic plan.
Mr Beevor, who qualified as a Chartered Accountant, is an experienced senior financial markets executive and director whose career has spanned more than 40 years within the finance, resources, and energy sectors both in Australia and internationally. Mr Beevor brings strong corporate, resources financing and development expertise to the MZI Board, in particular a deep understanding of international capital markets and the financing of major resources projects.
A highly experienced investment banker and corporate advisor with a long record of public company directorships, Mr Beevor is currently Chairman of ASX-listed international mining company Bannerman Resources Ltd, as well as a Non-Executive Director of both ASX-listed international mining company Wolf Minerals Ltd and unlisted public company Riversdale Resources Ltd.
Past non-executive directorships include Oxiana Resources/OZ Minerals Ltd, Unity Mining Ltd, EMED Mining Ltd, Queensland Magnesia Ltd, Rey Resources Ltd, Talison Minerals Ltd, Ampella Mining Ltd, and Bullabulling Gold Ltd.
Mr Beevor's long career history includes 16 years with NM Rothschild Australia, where he was Managing Director and Head of Investment Banking, and 13 years with London-based Schroders Group, where he held the role of Director, Corporate Finance.
