Vector Resources Limited (ASX:VEC) High Grade Gold Intercepts Extends Gwendolyn Mineralisation

Perth, Oct 13, 2011 AEST (ABN Newswire) - Western Australian focussed resources company Vector Resources Limited (googlechartASX:VEC) ("Vector" or "the Company") is pleased to announce the initial results of the Phase 2 drill program at the Gwendolyn Project in Western Australia on tenement P77/3976.

As announced to the ASX on 19 July 2011, Vector received approval from the Department of Mines and Petroleum (DMP) for the Program of Works (PoW) for the Phase 2 drilling program.

After outstanding success from the Phase 1 program the Company were keen to further explore along the strike of the current resource mineralisation to the north and south.

Major intercepts of this program included:

- 3m @ 57.91g/t, including 1m @ 145 g/t and 1m @ 24.31 g/t;
- 2m @8.93 g/t;
- 2m @4.16 g/t;
- 1m @7.52 g/t;
- 3m @ 3.38 g/t;
- 1m @ 3.99 g/t;
- 4m @ 2.51 g/t;
- 3m @ 3 g/t;
- 3m @ 2.44 g/t; and
- 3m @ 2.41 g/t.

To date 35 of the 54 planned Phase 2 holes have been drilled for 3962m. Results from 22 of these holes have been received with 13 pending. The remaining holes will be completed once the drill rig completes the priority 2 targets at the Mt Dimer Project. This is anticipated to commence towards the end of October to early November 2011.

From the 22 assayed Phase 2 holes completed to date 15 holes reported Au grade intercepts greater than 0.8 g/t.

Results received from the Phase 1 and partially completed Phase 2 drilling programs have tested a strike length of approximately 510 metres. Upon completion of the Phase 2 program the potential strike length tested will be approximately 950 metres. Additional ground to the south of the current Phase 2 program totalling approximately 650 metres will be explored in the phase 3 drill program.

Significant Upside

The Gwendolyn resource has the potential to increase with these encouraging results. Other fundamentals are also encouraging including:

- Mineralisation intercepts identified in drill holes are outside the existing resource;
- Mineralisation intercepts found from surface to 122 metres;
- Mineralisation is still open at depth and along strike in both directions;
- The remaining Phase 2 drilling will continue to test the along strike potential for approximately 440 metres;
- Geology boundaries and the oxidisation zone have been identified and geology and resource modelling is currently being updated; and
- Approximately an additional 650 metres of potential strike to the south requires further ongoing exploration beyond the Phase 2 drill program.
