Linc Energy (ASX:LNC) Receive Support From Governor Of Alaska To Develop 50,000 Bopd Oil Field In Alaska

Brisbane, June 20, 2011 AEST (ABN Newswire) - Linc Energy Limited (ASX:LNC) (PINK:LNCGY) said today that the Governor of Alaska, Sean Parnell, supported the acquisition by Linc Energy Ltd through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Linc Energy (Alaska) Inc., of a controlling interest in the One Billion Barrel (OOIP) Umiat oil field, which is located in the National Petroleum Reserve, Alaska (NPRA).

In a press release following yesterday's announcement by Linc Energy, Governor Parnell reaffirmed the Alaskan Government's plan to develop a road and pipeline corridor from Umiat to TAPS and said, "Linc Energy has the vision, leadership, and assets to finally bring the oil in the Umiat region to production. Production of up to 50,000 barrels of oil a day will benefit all Alaskans and the communities in the region by helping sustain the long-term operation of TAPS."
