Rum Jungle Resources Limited (ASX:RUM) Exploration Update - Ammaroo Phosphate Project
Darwin, April 5, 2011 AEST (ABN Newswire) - Drilling on the Rum Jungle Resources (
ASX:RUM) Barrow Creek 1 Resource Grid has been continuing well since access was obtained late last week. A total in excess of 125 holes for 3,100 meters has now been completed, with a total 1,400 samples dispatched for analysis at AMDEL's laboratories. A total 300 holes are planned for approximately 10,000 meters.
The company's geologists have reported a consistent geological pattern in the drill holes confirming a large blanket of mineralization with depths varying from 5 meters to 30 meters below surface.
On completion of the resource drilling, independent geological consultants, Hellman & Schofield, will complete a JORC compliant resource estimate for the Barrow Creek 1 Deposit.
EXPLORATION DRILLING
The second drill rig is now on site and is drilling alongside the other rig to catch up on the resource drilling, but will be relocated to the Western Exploration Grid later this week.
METALLURGY
A visit was made to the AMDEL metallurgical testing facility last week to inspect bulk sample beneficiation testing. Initial results appeared encouraging from screening and rolling an initial 800 kilogram bulk sample. A full report should be available by end of April.
