ASX:RUM) is pleased to release Barrow Creek 1 exploration report:
A helicopter supported visit was made to site today, in inclement weather conditions to determine immediate exploration logistics.
The Underdale Drilling rig is unable to move in soft ground due to heavy rainfall and the Bullion Rig due to commence today is bogged in South Australia and unlikely to move for a week.
30 holes have been completed on the northern most two grid lines with samples submitted for assay.
These holes have shown consistent phosphate mineralization determined by hand held XRF analysis. Samples from the southernmost line have also been transported. Two tonnes of bulk sample have been sent from Alice Springs to metallurgical laboratories in Adelaide.
Figure 1 (see link at the bottom of the release) demonstrates the effect of heavy rainfall along the access route of the Sandover Highway and Sandover River.
Figure 2 (see link at the bottom of the release) shows the location of camp and 26 Km exploration line extending to the horizon, awaiting the arrival of the Bullion Drilling rig for exploration testing on a wide scale grid program.
It is now necessary to shut down the exploration for possibly one week until the inclement weather throughout Central Australia has subsided.
An announcement will be made once the area becomes accessible and both drill rigs are operating.
