Helio Resource Corp. (CVE:HRC) To Attend PDAC 2011 International Mining Conference in Toronto on March 6-9

Vancouver, Mar 3, 2011 AEST (ABN Newswire) - Helio Resource Corp. (googlechartCVE:HRC) looks forward to actively participating again in this year's PDAC conference in Toronto, March 6 - 9. We kindly invite attendees to visit our booth #3117 at the Investor Exchange for a detailed update on our SMP Gold Project in Tanzania and Damara Gold Project in Namibia. Helio will also exhibit at the core shack on Sunday March 6th and Monday March 7th, where we will display drill core from the SMP Gold Project.

Also, Richard Williams, Helio's CEO, will present at the Gold in Africa session on Monday March 7th at 11.40am, room 802AB. He will provide an overview of Helio's main gold projects in Tanzania and Namibia as well as laying out the plans and objectives for the company for 2011.

The SMP Gold Project - Tanzania

In November 2010, Helio released its initial NI 43-101 resource estimate for the SMP Gold Project at 588,000 ounces Measured and Indicated at 1.54g/t and 352,000 Inferred at 1.10g/t Au. The resource comes from only 2 of at least 30 mineralised targets identified on the SMP Project, namely Porcupine and Kenge. Both targets have very strong potential for resource expansion which will be the initial focus of the 20,000m 2011 drill programme we expect to start imminently.

Metallurgical testwork on mineralised rock from the Kenge and Porcupine Targets shows recoveries of up to 96% through conventional grinding, cyanidation and / or flotation, and the possibility of 70% recoveries (at the Kenge Target) demonstrated through heap-leach amenability tests.

The DGP Gold Project - Namibia

The Damara Gold Project in Namibia is located between AGA's Navachab Mine to the southwest and Auryx Gold Corp.'s Otjikoto Project to the northeast. The same geology and styles of mineralisation as Navachab have been discovered at Damara.

The Navachab mine has been in production since 1989 and, as of December 2009, has produced approximately 1.5 Moz of gold and has a non-NI 43-101 compliant resource of 3.73 Moz grading 1.13g/t Au (source AngloGold Ashanti Mineral Resource and Ore Reserve Report 2009).

Auryx's Otjikoto Gold Project, located approximately 150km northeast of Helio's licences has a NI43-101 indicated resource of 28Mt grading 1.34g/t Au and an inferred resource of 17.1Mt grading 1.28g/t Au for total of 1.93 Moz.

Helio recently announced the start of a 5,000m+ drill programme and geochemical and geophysical surveys on the DGP.
