Broken Hill Inaugural Annual Australian Resources and Energy Symposium Launched
Sydney, May 24, 2010 AEST (ABN Newswire) - Symposium is delighted to announce the launch of the inaugural annual Australian Resources and Energy Symposium being held 21-25 May 2011 in historic Broken Hill.
The Symposium will promote the Australian resource and energy industry to the domestic and international investment community in a town synonymous with the Australian resources industry in the heart of Australia. The Symposium will profile the many opportunities in this sector, will look at the future of the industry and will consider some of the issues facing it moving into the next decade.
Symposium connects the Australian resources industry with the investment community at both a domestic and international level. We provide a range of presentation platforms for the mining, coal, oil and gas and other energy-related businesses to present to and engage with investors. Our events, from monthly roadshows to annual conferences, are all specifically designed to showcase the Australian resources industry, raise awareness and create mutually beneficial business partnerships.
The Symposium will focus on Australian resource and energy companies and also provide opportunity for input from international experts to present their perspective on the global resources and energy sector.

Topics include security of supply, partnerships, legal and corporate responsibilities, environmental and safety issues and government requirements.
Also being launched at the event is the Symposium Scholarship Program which aims to establish a foundation to offer scholarships to students to provide education opportunities in geology, engineering and other resources and energy related prorams which will be awarded at the second Symposium in 2012. All profits from the Symposium will go towards the scholarship program.
