Conquest Mining Limited (ASX:CQT) Confirms Significant High Grade Silver Mineralisation At Silver Hill Deposit - Area 39

Perth, Oct 20, 2009 AEST (ABN Newswire) - To ensure shareholders are kept fully aware of the progress at Conquest Mining Limited (ASX:CQT)(PINK:CQMLF) 100% owned Silver Hill Deposit, the Company is pleased to announce that recent infill diamond drilling at Area 39 targeting high grade silver mineralisation within the Silver Hill Deposit has confirmed significant mineralisation with all results now received.

DIAMOND DRILLING

Area 39 Infill Drilling

During July & August, Conquest has completed approximately 1,819m on twelve infill diamond drill holes in the Area 39 part of the Silver Hill Deposit. This drilling has been undertaken to assist with resource definition of the silver mineralisation that occurs at this part of the Silver Hill Deposit and was completed during late August.

Other notable results include HC09DD026 assayed 59.5m at 0.11g/t gold, 370 g/t silver & 0.72% copper from a depth of 33m, including 2m at 3,765g/t silver & 4.11% copper from 61m and HC09DD027 assayed 24m at 0.08g/t gold, 507g/t silver & 0.20% copper from a depth of 37m; including 2m at 3,190g/t silver and 1.41% copper.

Geotechnical Drilling

During July to September, Conquest completed around 1,665m on a twelve drill hole geotechnical programme. This programme was completed in mid September.

As this work is at the fringes of the known mineralisation, high grade results from the geotechnical diamond drilling are not expected.

REVERSE CIRCULATION DRILLING

Sterilization Drilling

Sterilization reverse circulation (RC) drilling around the Silver Hill Deposit was undertaken with a view to locating mill/plant infrastructure and waste dumps. Commencing in June and completed in September, a total of 69 RC drill holes were completed for a total depth of 8,318m. Assay results have been recently received from remaining drill holes (HC09RC579-597; 701-706; 811-817). No economic mineralization has been encountered in this drilling.

Western Exploration Drilling

Reverse circulation drilling was completed in the "gap" between the Silver Hill & Herbert Ck East deposits to the east and the Mt Carlton deposit to the west. Thirty-two RC drill holes were completed for a total depth of 3,840m.

Results from the remaining drill holes (HC09RC793-810) have been received with no economic mineralization encountered in this drilling. Several of these drill holes may be targeted for diamond drill extensions to test at depth.

FUTURE WORK PROGRAMMES

Conquest Mining Limited has recently commenced RC drilling at the satellite deposit of Western Lodes, located approximately 5km to the west of the Silver Hill Deposit. Drilling in the coming weeks is also targeting further infill and step out work at the Mt Carlton Main Hill and Herbert Creek East Deposits.

Conquest technical staff are continuing to assess regional targets within the Mt Carlton Project tenement package for work in the coming weeks.
