Exco Resources Limited (ASX:EXS) Submits The Cloncurry Copper Project Environmental Impact Statement ("EIS")

Perth, Sep 15, 2009 AEST (ABN Newswire) - Exco Resources Limited (ASX:EXS)(PINK:EXRSF) is pleased to announce the submission of the Cloncurry Copper Project Environmental Impact Statement ("EIS") to the Queensland Department of Environment and Resource Management ("DERM"). The submission is based on the Terms of Reference agreed on the 18th of December 2008.

The EIS has been prepared for, and with, the Company by AustralAsian Resource Consultants supported by:

Submission of the EIS to the department is an important milestone in pursuit of the relevant approvals for the Cloncurry Copper Project (CCP), and is in line with the Company's aim to be in production from the CCP by 2011. The Definitive Feasibility Study for the CCP is well underway and the Company looks forward to keeping shareholders informed of developments.
