Matthias Wehrle assumes responsibility for marketing at Poggenpohl Möbelwerke GmbH from 1 November 2008 - Christiane Danielsmeyer to head the newly created "Product Management" division.

Herford, 30 October 2008 - Poggenpohl is realigning its worldwide marketing strategy. From 1 November 2008, Matthias Wehrle will be in charge of marketing at the East Westphalian kitchen manufacturer. At the same time, Christiane Danielsmeyer will take responsibility for the newly created "Product Management" division.

42-year-old Matthias Wehrle comes from Schwarzach-based René Lezard Mode GmbH where he was head of marketing from 2002. Before working for René Lezard, Matthias Wehrle's career included an executive position in international sales at Hugo Boss AG in Metzingen. If future, Matthias Wehrle will be responsible for classic-style marketing, promoting sales as well as sales and retail marketing. He will report to Managing Director Elmar Duffner.

Christiane Danielsmeyer (52), who for many years has already held various posts at Poggenpohl, will be heading the newly created Product Management division, also from 1 November 2008. Given the company's increasingly international alignment, this is an area that has rapidly grown in significance. For this reason, Product Management will be run as a separate section. Christiane Danielsmeyer will report directly to Managing Director Elmar Duffner.

Taking these steps, the premium kitchen manufacturer is reinforcing its brand on the international stage. Over the next five years, the company is planning to open as many as 60 new sales studios worldwide. "For this strategy realignment, we need internationally experienced staff in the fields of marketing, product management and public relations" says Managing Director Elmar Duffner, explaining the latest personnel decisions. Thomas Oberle (52) has held the newly created post of "Head of Public Relations" since 1 March 2008. Poggenpohl was founded by Friedemir Poggenpohl in 1892.
