Day's new flagship content management offering introduces an upgraded content repository infrastructure based on modern open source technologies and standards with a new compelling user experience for Web Content Management, Digital Asset Management and Social Collaboration solutions.
CQ5's core is an updated version of Day's CRX repository, a commercially licensed, enterprise-ready version of Day Software sponsored Apache Jackrabbit and Apache Sling projects. CRX, the industry's first, and leading JCR (JSR170) implementation, now incorporates a new content application framework based on a pioneering, RESTful architecture for high-performance Web 2.0 initiatives.
