Veidekke To Build At Lahaugmoen

Veidekke ASA (OSL:VEI) Veidekke Entreprenør AS has entered into an agreement with Lahaugmoen AS for the development of Lahaugmoen industrial estate just north of Oslo. The first construction assignment is a new combined building for Sandvik Tamrock AS, a planning and building project with a contractual value of NOK 141 million excluding VAT.

The combined building for Sandvik Tamrock AS will consist of workshop, warehouse and offices with a combined area of 8,500 square metres. Groundwork has just started, and the building will be completed in September 2009.

Lahaugmoen AS, where Anthon B Nilsen Eiendom AS is the majority shareholder, acquired the 28.8 hectare property in 2005 with a view to develop it by 2015. The development plan allows for 139,000 square metres of commercial property in the segments warehouse, light industry, workshop, accommodation and public utility in addition to offices and shops. Lahaugmoen industrial estate aims to become the best industrial estate in the country with emphasis on the environment, and Veidekke's main tasks are to plan and build the individual buildings of the industrial estate.
