Malinen joined Pöyry on 1 April 2008 from UPM-Kymmene Corporation where he acted as Executive Vice President, Strategy, of UPM-Kymmene Corporation and also as a member of UPM's Executive Team. In the two-month introductory period Heikki Malinen has acquainted himself with Pöyry's global operations and personnel, which will help him to get a head-start in the new role.
