Perth, Mar 10, 2008 AEST (ABN Newswire) - Empire Oil & Gas N.L. (ASX: EGO)(PNK: EOLGF) Drilling Progress Report dated 10 March 2008 for the Period 0600 hrs 7 March 2008 to 0600 hrs 10 March 2008. Present depth as of 0600 hours, 10 March 2008 is 2598 metres and is the total depth that the Moriary-1 well will be drilled. During the 72-hour period drilled ahead 8 1/2" hole from 2406m to 2598m. Top Cattamarra Coaly Unit 2578.5m Future Operations: Electric wireline log all oil shows recorded in the well to evaluate hydrocarbons and the formation. The decision to run further logs for formation dip and pressure will be made after the first logging run.

2466m - 2535m - Sandstone very fine grained in grading to siltstone In part
2535m - 2555m - Claystone/shale dark grey micaceous with coal seams, black, brittle, conchoidal fracture in part
2555 m - 2570m - Sandstone 100% fine to medium grained with loose coarse grains kaolinitic

16. Hydrocarbon Indications:

Oil Shows: For the interval drilled 2405m to 2598m

2409m to 2412m - Sandstone

- 2409m to 2410m - 3% dull yellow white oil fluorescence, fast to instant cut fluorescence, then

- 2410m to 2412m less than 1% fluorescence.

2458m to 2463m: Sandstone, 4% to 10% dull to moderately bright yellow white oil fluorescence,slow streaming cut

2470m to 2472m: Sandstone, at 2470m 6% dull orange to yellow fluorescence, slow streaming cut fluorescence, declining to less than 1% dull orange dull yellow fluorescence.

2575.5m to 2578.5m: Sandstone,3% dull to moderately bright fluorescence. Brown oil staining, cut fluorescence, slow streaming, yellow white cut fluorescence.

Gas Peaks:

Three peaks have similar readings as follows.

Total Gas: 4 units
Chromatograph: C1 835 ppm, C2 126 ppm, C3 104 ppm

Note 1: All oil shows recorded in the Moriary-1 well will be evaluated by electric wireline logs which will evaluate hydrocarbons present and the formation. The decision to record additional logs for formation dip and pressure data will be made after the first log run.

17. Prospect Description: The Moriary Prospect is an anticlinal structure, similar to the Mt Horner Oilfield with reservoir objectives the 'F', 'J' and 'L' Sands of the Jurassica-aged Cattamarra Coal Measures. Potential recoverable oil reserves are estimated to be 'F' Sands 3 million barrels, 'J' Sands 4 million barrels and 'L' Sands 4 million barrels.
