Perth, Feb 13, 2006 AEST (ABN Newswire) - Golden West Resources (ASX: GWR) is pleased to announce the appointment of George Bray to advise the Company on infrastructure development for the Wiluna Iron Project located north east of the Port of Geraldton.

Golden West Resources is currently evaluating transport and infrastructure options to transport the company's high grade direct shipping ore to market.

Mr Bray will be responsible for facilitating the infrastructure planning and approvals process associated with the Wiluna Iron Project. The Company acknowledges George Bray's extensive experience in dealing with planning and infrastructure provisions and the statutory approvals processes.

Mr Bray is a civil engineer with significant knowledge of the local and regional planning and infrastructure statutory requirements. Recent projects completed by Mr Bray include the coordination of statutory approvals for a wood chip storage facility at the Port of Albany and reviewing the Liquor Licensing Act in Western Australia in association with two other panel members. He has local government experience and a strong network of Federal and State Government Ministers.

The Board is focused on the development of the Wiluna Iron Project in two distinct stages:

Stage 1: Commence detailed evaluation of the high grade surface direct shipping iron using existing infrastructure to generate cash flow.

Stage 2: The development of the major iron project in stages. The immediate goal is to define resources of sufficient magnitude that will justify the required infrastructure.
