The Ementor Group today introduces a new leading recycle concept called 'goitloop' for all companies in the Nordic region. 'goitloop' is the simple way of handling used electronic equipment and disposals of hazardous substances and is a part of the group's strategic focus within environmental behavior, Green IT and the 'goitgreen' concept.

There are a lot of challenges for companies when it comes to handling of used IT equipment, and by this concept the Ementor Group introduces a new way of thinking 'recycling'. By entering the 'green loop', all companies are able to easily order handling and recycling of their used electronic equipment. The concept is simple and with almost no resource demanding. The companies easily connect through online solutions as for instance www.goitloop.com, eShop or the group websites. From here it only takes a few seconds and clicks and you are in the loop.

Claus Johansen, Director at Ementor Group says: "Greenpeace estimate that about 75% of all European IT equipment are not recycled and nobody knows where it is. Gartner Group estimates that within 2014 the number of working computers will increase from 1 to 2 billion. We also know that average lifecycle energy use of a computer is dominated by production up to 80% and by that we need to increase the product lifetime or ensure the correct environmental handling".

Ementor Group recommends customers to change behavior in this matter. The best way to minimize impact on the environment from a computer is to extend its effective lifetime through reuse, donation or part usage. By entering the green loop and start recycling, customers are able to extend the lifetime of their IT equipment. Average companies can reuse or resell 100% of all IT equipment.

Claus Hougesen, CEO and President at Ementor Group says: "Recycling is also a security issue. All equipment containing storage media should be checked to ensure that sensitive data and licensed software has been securely overwritten or removed prior to disposal. This can be ensured by correct recycling. Nobody wants to discover that their confidential data shows up somewhere else in the world".

Another considerable reason for the assessment of the recycling processes is the expenses. It can be very costly to dispose used IT equipment and electronic waste. By entering the green loop the cost is as low as possible and the customers will be offered kickback money when IT equipment is resold. By entering the green loop companies state a good example and further receive benefits of a better environmental brand and also income from used IT equipment. It's a win-win situation both for the environment and the companies.

Ementor Group is today the leading provider of recycling of used IT equipment in the Nordic countries. 99.7% of all received IT equipment is recycled. Today the Ementor Group recycling business has revenue of approximately MNOK 25 and sees a revenue potential of MNOK 100 in 2010 based on the 'goitloop' concept.
