Thomson Resources Ltd (ASX:TMZ) is an NSW active mineral explorer. Thomson has several tin projects (including an advanced project near Ardlethan), as well as gold, copper and zinc targets in a range of settings. On behalf of the Board, I welcome you to this Annual General Meeting of Thomson Resources Ltd (ASX:TMZ) I will now review progress of your Company over the past year, a period when market conditions continued to be difficult for the exploration industry and for junior explorers particularly.
Historical results for rock chip sampling collected by major mining companies CRA and BHP at the Mt Jacob project near Kempsey, NSW between 1979 and 1992 have been collated, verified and located where possible. Thomson Resources (ASX:TMZ) obtained the information from reports now publicly available on the NSW Geological Survey website.
Thomson Resources Ltd (ASX:TMZ) has worked up a number of outstanding drill targets in the "New Frontier" Thomson Fold Belt, as well as the Lachlan and New England Fold Belts in NSW. Two targets have resulted from a recent airborne EM survey; one near Byrock and one near Mudgee.
Thomson Resources Ltd (ASX:TMZ) has discovered gold systems in NW NSW and picked up projects with copper potential near Byrock and Mudgee. A recent VTEM survey has picked has picked up strong conductive anomalies in each of the latter two indicating copper potential. Many of the projects also have tin potential e.g. the Mt Jacob area near Kempsey which is primarily a gold play.
Thomson Resources (ASX:TMZ) is exploring in NSW for mineral deposits containing gold, tin or copper. Thomson has had early success in discovering several Intrusion-Related Gold (IRG) systems in its namesake Thomson Fold Belt of northwestern NSW.
Thomson Resources Limited (ASX:TMZ) completed an extensive, 564 line kilometre, airborne "VTEM" survey (Versatile Time-domain Electro Magnetics) in June 2014 over some of its key prospects within NSW. The survey targeted volcanogenic massive sulphide deposits ("VMS") at the Havilah and Byrock projects.
