Petroleum Geo-Services ASA (OSL:PGS) October 7, 2008: Oslo, Norway, Petroleum Geo-Services ASA ("PGS" or the "Company"). Reference is made to the Q1 and Q2 2008 earnings releases where PGS disclosed that it expected to seek to enter its subsidiaries PGS Shipping AS and PGS Shipping (Isle of Man) Ltd., owning five Ramform class seismic vessels and four six streamer vessels, to the new Norwegian tonnage tax ("NTT") regime with effect from January 1, 2008. The decision was contingent on certain amendments of the NTT regulations, which were viewed as likely to be clarified early October 2008.

Petroleum Geo-Services ASA (OSL:PGS) October 6, 2008: Oslo, Norway, Petroleum Geo-Services ASA ('PGS' or the 'Company') announced today that its seismic 3D vessel fleet used approximately 81% of its total time to acquire marine contract and multi-client seismic in the third quarter of 2008. This compares to 84% in the second quarter of 2008 and 89% in the third quarter of 2007.

Petroleum Geo-Services ASA (OSL:PGS) PGS Mexicana, S.A. de C.V., a wholly owned subsidiary of Petroleum Geo-Services ASA ('PGS' or the 'Company') has been awarded a contract by Pemex for an onshore seismic survey in the states of Veracruz and Puebla, Mexico. The survey will be carried out from 2008 to 2012. The area to be surveyed is more than two thousand square kilometers, or more than 20 times the size of Manhattan. The total contract value amounts to approximately USD 165 million.
