Pan Australian's managing director highlights another year of progress at the 2007 AGM, with the company moving towards development of the US$241 million Phu Kham Copper-Gold Project in Laos and the Puthep Copper Project and other projects in the pipeline.

Pan Australian is ahead of schedule and running within budget for the start-up of its Phu Kham Copper-Gold Mine in Laos. Phu Kham is Asia’s next major copper mine that will produce more than 50,000 tonnes of the red metal each year along with gold and silver. With other projects in the pipeline, including Puthep Copper in Thailand, and an aggressive US$13 million exploration and evaluation program the outlook for continued share price out-performance is good.

As Pan Australian ramps up its Phu Kham copper-gold project for commmissioning in 2008, the Thai government has approved a work program for the nation's biggest copper deposit at Puthep. Managing director Gary Stafford says it could be as big as Phu Kham, which is set to return over US$100 million a year in cash flow.

Pan Australian Resources Limited says it expects to bring its US$232 million Phu Kham gold and copper mine in Laos into production by mid 2008 in an environment where sustained copper shortages should support sustained higher metal prices.

Pan Australian's development plans of its Phu Kham copper gold mine in Laos are perfectly timed, with a lack of new copper mines worldworld and strong demand market for copper concentrate expected to continue for many years.

Pan Australian Resources Limited on Monday said it had approved development of its Phu Kham Copper Gold mine in Laos following completion of the feasibility study. Project fundamentals indicate that the new mine could earn the company more than US$100 million per year based on today's commodities prices and an average operating cost of US$0.74/lb copper.
