Petrolia Drilling Sembcorp Marine's Jurong Shipyard and Larsen Oil & Gas today (30 June 2008) announced an agreement to construct a new deepwater semisubmersible drilling rig, identical to the three PetroMena rigs (Friede & Goldman Ex-D design) already under construction at Jurong.

Petrolia Drilling Norwegian Oil Company AS 100% controlled by Mr. Lars Moldestad, Managing Director of Petrolia Drilling ASA, has today, due to tax payment, sold 2.000.000 shares in Petrolia Drilling ASA at a price of nok 2,60 per share.

Petrolia Drilling Reference is made to the announcement by PetroMENA ASA dated 13 June 2008 regarding the completion of a private placement of 13,430,000 new shares (corresponding to a share capital increase of 9.99%) at a subscription price of NOK 18.10 per share, to fund the construction of PetroMENA`s three state of the art 6th generation semisubmersible drilling rigs at the Jurong Shipyard in Singapore.
