20th EuroBLECH in Hanover, 21-25 October 2008 Feintool - Hall 27, Booth H33

EuroBLECH 08, the world's most important trade fair for sheet metal working, is celebrating this year its 20th anniversary in Hanover. Feintool has been involved in the trade fair right from the start. Both partners are back this year to present exciting new features: the trade fair with full halls, more exhibits than ever before and 1,500 exhibitors from 38 countries, and Feintool with the brand new HFAspeed press series combined with a special tool concept. Through this innovation, the technology and market leader Feintool is setting new standards in the output performance of fineblanking.

Increase from 42 to around 100 working strokes per minute With the HFAspeed fineblanking press (a further development of the proven HFAplus series) and a new tool concept, Feintool has succeeded in increasing performance from 42 to 100 working strokes per minute in the example of a component for automobile door locks. This has already caused a stir in professional circles in the runup to EuroBLECH, as with this kind of increase in production figures, the 20% higher tool costs and 15% higher machine costs are amortized very rapidly. Another example is a component for an automobile seat back adjuster, which is now manufactured at 50 strokes per minute in comparison to 30 previously. This innovation offers Feintool customers a direct means of achieving higher production figures and thus drastically reducing unit costs. Feintool has applied for a patent on this new generation of press with the new tool concept.

New simulation procedures in the fineblanking/forming process Simulation technology is becoming increasingly important when it comes to tapping new areas of application for fineblanking/forming, as it allows feasibility to be assessed and reliable processes to be developed. This reduces risks and cuts costs. In close collaboration with international technical universities, Feintool continuously researches and develops simulation programs. Feintool has mastered the entire process of fineblanking/forming with a production method that is both technically advanced and cost-effective. Highly detailed simulations of individual process steps provide insight into important details at an early stage. Simulation massively shortens the development process, and also enables decisions to be made and supported quickly. This means that even cutting-edge applications have a short time to market. Ongoing research and development at Feintool focuses intensively on process reliability. This includes the smooth interplay of press and tool technology and how this can be harmonized cost-effectively with part design, the stock material and process lubrication. For Feintool development engineers, customer demands are right at the top of the priority list.

The products and services presented at the Feintool booth will be rounded off by supplementary solutions in assembly automation, and plastic/metal compound components from the Feintool Group.
