Nordea Appoints Lars Häggström As New Head Of Group HR

STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Mar 19, 2008 - (ABN Newswire) - Lars Häggström, 39, has been appointed Nordea's new head of Group Human Resources. He joins Nordea from the position of Senior Vice President, Corporate Human Resources at Gambro AB.

Prior to joining Gambro AB, Lars Häggström has held senior HR positions in Eli Lilly & Co in Sweden, the UK and the US and with AstraZeneca, as Head of HR for Sweden Operations.

Lars Häggström holds a Bachelor of Science degree in HR Development and Labour Relations from the University of Linköping and has specialised in Personnel Management and Educational Planning at the University of Uppsala.

The appointment takes effect in June 2008. Lars Häggström succeeds Gunnel Tolfes, who left her position at the end of 2007. Nordea today employs close to 35,000 employees.
