In connection with this matter, which has now caught media attention, Telenor wishes to make some further carifications.

Telenor strongly believes the claimant Farimex is affiliated with the Alfa Group and that the case has no merit. Telenor is confident it will prevail in reversing the decision on appeal.

Telenor (Nasdaq:TELN) (Fornebu, 23 July 2008) In the second quarter of 2008, Telenor's pro forma revenues (including Kyivstar) increased by three per cent compared to the second quarter of 2007, reaching NOK 27.2 billion. Underlying revenues increased by seven per cent in the same period. Pro forma EBITDA before other income and expenses was NOK 9.3 billion. Telenor's mobile operations added six million subscriptions during the second quarter.

Telenor (Nasdaq:TELN) Fornebu/Bangkok, 04.07.2008: DTAC CEO Mr. Sigve Brekke takes up the position as head of Telenor Region Asia and joins Telenor's Group Executive Management on September 1st 2008. Brekke succeeds Mr. Arve Johansen, who returns to the Telenor Headquarters in Norway as a special advisor to the CEO. Mr. Tore Johnsen will take over as new CEO of DTAC.
