Bear Paw Receives Approval to Construct Natural Gas Pipeline

Perth, Aug 3, 2016 AEST (ABN Newswire) - Bear Paw Pipeline Corporation Inc. (Bear Paw), an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of Liquefied Natural Gas Limited (LNGL) (googlechartASX:LNG) (googlechartLNGLY:OTCMKTS), is pleased to announce that it received Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board approval to construct a 62.5 km natural gas pipeline from Goldboro to the proposed Bear Head LNG liquefied natural gas (LNG) export facility in Point Tupper, Richmond County, Nova Scotia.

"Bear Paw's pipeline is integral to the development of Bear Head LNG," said Greg Vesey, Managing Director and CEO of LNGL and President of Bear Paw. "The Permit to Construct is an important regulatory component. We are putting all the elements in place to develop a successful liquefied natural gas export facility on Cape Breton Island and the pipeline is a strategic and critical element."

Bear Paw would interconnect the Maritimes and Northeast Pipeline (M&NP) mainline, offshore gas, and other supplies near Goldboro Nova Scotia, to the Bear Head LNG export facility. The Goldboro to Point Tupper pipeline will connect Bear Head LNG to the North American natural gas pipeline network.

"Bear Paw and Bear Head LNG have worked and will continue to work with stakeholders and the Aboriginal community on the pipeline project and LNG facility," Vesey noted. "Our goal is to be the leader in helping Nova Scotia realize the LNG opportunity that will benefit the community, region, and province by creating new jobs and economic activity."

Expenditures for construction of the pipeline shall commence only after financial close of the Bear Head LNG project.
